Thursday Means a LOT of Driving

We had a wonderful "pot luck"with Sean and Sharon on our last night--medallions of antelope in a wonderful cream sauce--a la Sharon--and our more mundaine rotisserie chicken.  But so yummy and so good to be included in the family dinner.

These deer said "goodbye" to us on Mountain Road as we drove out.

The Pacific is beautiful even on a gray day.

But just look at the warnings--I was particularly transfixed by the first advice: "If you feel an earthquake think tsunami.  Go to high ground and stay there."  Sneaker waves?  Rip currents?  Oy.

Along the way to the south, we found this herd of wild elk happily hanging out by the side of the road.

And further on down the road were many lime groves.

Finally, sunset after a long, weatherwise crazy ride, from the deck of our airbnb in Forest Ranch, California with consummate hosts, Carolyn and Bill.  More tomorrow!
