We had a wonderul time at Carolyn and Bill's home overnight last night. It was very tempting to stay longer with the lovely accommodations. We shared a lovely dinner with the family...
...and this is the sitting area we enjoyed in our bedroom.
As we left this morning, this was the troubled sky we witnessed.
It was an interesting ride to Lake Tahoe. This is the gorgeous landscape of golden grasses, dark trees and stormy skies that we enjoyed on our way out of the area. Chico is a great town with a college and lots of beautiful arts and crafts homes along wide streets lined with trees and successful businesses.
We followed the Feather River along a very challenging, curvy road. Thank you, Rick, for navigating this part of our trip--you are my hero!!!
And, finally here we are at Lake Tahoe--not the best photo on a gray afternoon. But in the distance I hope you can see the snowy mountains. It's actually pretty chilly here. And now it is time for sleepies....
