Among the interesting things we saw on the streets of Prague were these two young men....
Interesting.... How do they do this?
We went for a ride on the river...
And in the afternoon, we found the Jewish Cemetery, adjacent to a synagogue and museum....
Sadly, it was untended and overgrown. As we learned, at the start of the Natzi occupation, there were 118,310 Jews living in the Berlin area. Only a few managed to emigrate before the start of mass deportations in 1941. Over 80,000 were deported and sent to extermination camps in the east. Thousands more were arrested as time went on. Only about 10,000 Jews were to return. You cannot travel through eastern Europe without seeing much evidence of horrible Natzi cruelties....
The last thing we did in the evening was to attend a wonderful concert in the Municipal House. The program included Pachbel's Canon in D major, Mozart's Serenade No. 13, "A Little NIght Music" and Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Familiar and much appreciated music for us both at the end of a long day....
