From the Ridiculous to the Sublime

Las Vegas has never been my mecca and driving down the Strip this morning was pretty much as I expected....

...including the Eiffel Tower--in Nevada?

Our sweet little four wheel drive Volvo has been maiking the trip very comfortable--she is an upgrade from our planned 4 wheel drive Rav 4 which wasn't available when we got to the car rental site late last night.  

This morning, we went on to the sublime landscape of the southwest ....
